キング牧師の 「I Have a Dream」 という演説をご存知でしょうか？
先日のオバマ大統領のスピーチでも言ってましたが、あのスピーチは感動的なものでした。
彼もキング牧師を尊敬しているそうです。
１９６３年８月２８日、２５万人の人々と平等を求めてワシントンD.C.へ大行進を行い、
リンカーン記念塔の前で有名な
「I Have a Dream」 の演説を行いました。
キング牧師は厳しい人種差別に「非暴力主義」で挑んだ
アフリカ系アメリカ人公民権運動の指導者で、
今回の黒人大統領誕生の原点とも言うべき偉人です。１９６８年に暗殺され、
３９歳の短い生涯を終えましたが、１９６４年にノーベル平和賞を受賞しました
キング牧師の時代には「夢」でしかなかった黒人の「夢」が１つ現実となりました
私も人種や宗教は違えど、キング牧師の「夢」を受け継いでいきたいと思います。
